Launch of Global Inclusive Education Network (GIEN)

15 April 2019.  Global Inclusive Education Network (GIEN) launched today at UN Conference Room, 55, Lodi Road, New Delhi. This is the first time when schools from India came together to share, learn and improve the quality education goals as set out in the Sustainable Development Goal-4 promotes Quality Education; the Rights to Education Act; The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).

One of the outcomes of the conferences is to share and disseminate ideas, research findings, academic approaches, field-level experiences, evidence based practices and innovations & inventions in inclusive education globally creating a sharing community.  Considering the interest shown by professionals, Global Inclusive Education Network has been formed with a three level advisory council: International Advisory Council (IAC) International Executive Council IEC) School Inclusive Education Development (SIED) Team International Advisory Council (IAC) IAC which will translate the policies of GIEN for implementation, will develop programme and policy guidelines to be implemented by International Executive Council (IEC).
